My name is Jack O’Gorman. I am a fintech enthusiast and professional with an affinity for all things related to money, finance, and tech.
The complex emergent tech sector is ever morphing. Because of this, it’s become increasingly difficult to derive meaning and locate firm footing. Unfortunately, nuanced and layered language baked into conversations on these topics only accentuates the opacity. Sometimes it can feel like we are fighting through a dense and tangled jungle.
This blog is dedicated to making sense of this wild landscape and taking the time to stop to appreciate and investigate its manifest qualities.
I hope to explore topics using accessible language that isn’t meant to confuse or hide the ball. There is a veritable overflow of information all around us. I will do my best to sort through the information on the topics I find pertinent to extract high-quality signal despite the vast informational noise. I will return to financial and tech fundamentals often as I get into the weeds.
I will leverage first principles thinking and my experience in the traditional finance and tech industries to reason through how the intersection of money and tech is shaping our world.
Together I aspire to explore the meaning behind money, modern incentives, the politics shaping the fintech industry, and much more.
Though I will write about a host of assets, please note that the content provided in this blog is for informational purposes only and should not be considered as financial advice.
